dear mister JB79.
if I see your work, I dare to give my question.

if somebody have a good system to take the mesures on a PC
I desire to have the possibility to memorised
1) power in watts or (volt /ampère)
2) the turbine rpm
3) the m / s wind

if you look this litle film you see how the Itake mesures ,it's not to complicated, but not practice ,to memorised I must film with a camera

Hello haegeman!

Very interesting windmill!

At the moment my system is able to measure voltage, current and pulses/second. The power is calculated from voltage and current. The pulses/second will be used for the rpm value. The only thing that is missing is the windspeed, the transmission over an RS232 interface allready works and the values can be stored into a file by the PC (using hyperterminal for example).

So the next step will be to build up a schematic that would be connected to an anemometer that converts the anemometer's rotation speed (rpm) into values from 0-5V that will be feeded into the PIC microprocessor that interprets this values as windspeed values.

So if you continue to observe this thread you might get the solution you need in the future.
I will give the firmware to anybody who needs it, also the source code will be available (for adaptations).
The difficult thing is the pcb, I don't want to have it all on a hole raster pcb because there to much errors can happen during the connection of the components.

I have to agree that your machine of wind turbine is an impressive example of a vertical axis style. What kind of alternator is it you're using to generate the electricity?
What's the start up speed?
Do you use gearing?
It would also be nice to have pictures at which we could closely see the mechanism for adjusting the blades...

More about this VAWT can be found here. I think we should ask all questions regarding this VAWT there.
There you can also find a picture of the blade adjustment system.
