Hi all
I may have a defect in my eye but if you follow the profile of the sheet metal that forms the scoop, it looks to me to be a scoop shape like a lenz or something rather than a C rotor. I am not there on the ground to see but would bet that it is this.

Yes you (or your eyes) are right Lloyd.
This is a big C-Rotor. The shape of the slat is a bit square, but still it is a very big C-rotor.
Unfortunately until now the builder is not present in this forum.

I am not trying to hijack this thread but just in passing
I don't know if you go to the "Back Shed" forum but there is a fellow there that is building one using the lift wing goe-222 profile that is probably comparable in size and he has documented it quite well. It would be nice to see the same thing for this one, it is a pretty impressive size. I think the wind conditions must be fairly low to dare put this up.

It is really interessting how he made the blades. I havent understand how he covered the framework,
how he made the surface.
It looks like think plywood but i can not see any screws.

He says he used spruce spars for strength and form and then covered with 3/16 plywood and fibreglass after and each wing weighs 50lbs and are 9.5 ft long by 24inch chord so smaller than the other one then by the looks of it but still a monster. He is in the US so If I am travelling his way and the wind hasn't broken it I may see it one day.

You were making a three legged structure to hold the lift vawt you were working on and I always thought it looked so gracefull I came to think of it as a little ballerina; allthough it did have three legs.

Der Rotor liegt an der B37, wenn du von Krems nach Langenlois/Gföhl fährst, du siehst ihn in dieser Richtung kommend rechts gleich nach der Raststation. Zufahrt aber über Gneixendorf von der "oberen" Seite, weiß nicht, ob die Ortsdurchfahrt von unten noch wegen der Baustelle gesperrt ist. Der Rotor ist auf dem Firmengelände des steinverarbeitenden Betriebes aufgestellt (will nicht ohne Zustimmung irgendwelche Firmennamen veröffentlichen).

Die Solarzelle ist das Set von Koekraf mit Teichpumpe (20W Solar mit 15W Pumpe)

Laut Erbauer hat das Ding einen Durchmesser von 5m und eine Flügelhöhe von 6m. Ich glaube nicht, dass dieser am Internet interessiert ist, was ich so aus dem einen Telefonat herausgehört habe. Sobald ich weiteres weiß, poste ich wieder, habe derzeit allerdings wenig Zeit...
