I made my wings for my small vawt and after this thought that there must be lots of them available all over the world that people were selling to people like us that wanted to make our own vawt but wanted a good wing to put on it.
I looked and looked and found two. This led me to start posts wher anyone that has a blade for sale could put a link with a discription and there would be a choice.
If you know of an actual blade for sale or a tried and true shape, tell a little bit about it and post the link, or shape, or coordinates and tell something about it

The blade wasn't self starting it used a small SV rotor on the top to get it moving the blades where set at 8 degrees helix angle to make it run quieter and the second improvement was fitting vortex generators at 5% cord station spaced every 3 inches along the blade, this gave about 20 percent extra torque.
We used 6 blades on a 10 foot diameter mill, it ran best at 120 to 135 rpm.

Ich möchte zunächst mal übersetzen damit die Leute hier folgen können.
LLoyd hat einen Beitrag eröffnet um alle Sorten von käuflichen Profilen für ein
Vertikalwindrad zusammen zu fassen.
In diesem Beitrag erhofft er sich möglichst viele Nennnungen anderer User von Profilen die
man fertig als Meterware kaufen kann.

Eines der Profile aus seiner Liste gibt es auch im deutschen Ebay Angebot zu erwerben.

Wenn ja auf welche Prfoil bezieht sich dieser Bericht ?

I figured that there were probably people out there that knew of a blade chord that was a good one that they were familiar with and could give us a little information about it and the coordinates as long as they are public domain. Bob had this designed 25 years ago and offered to let it out for someone else to try. He says he ran a low rpm alt geared up 4-1 and got 25 kw at 48v. It was designed by an engineer he employed so is owned by him.

Hat jemand von euch schon mal ein fertiges Flügelprofil, das es "von der Stange" zu kaufen gibt
für sein Windrad eingesetzt ?
Im Augenblick finde ich einen Test des "Summerwind" Profils interessant, zumal das länst nicht
so teuer ist wie vergleichbare Aluprofile.

Hallo miteinander,

et tut sich was bei den Alu Profilen GOE222.
Ich kann diese ab Januar /Februar 2010 ab Deutschland liefern.
Was hatet Ihr von einer Länge von 3 m? Sollte noch gut zum Versenden sein.
Der Preis ist etwas mengenabhängig wird aber nicht über 30 € der Meter.

a lot of people have tried the goe-222 for hawt but I don't think it would make a good vawt blade. It was one of the ones tested and did not do so well in simulation on vawt. anything of the nacs0018 or that area should be fine once it is started. I like mine "REMKICK 5" because it starts really well and has a long power band and good tsr/rpm but i don't have any made yet. I need to buy a die $2500.00 and then order 2000ft' so I need to get some money together. I will probably have something in the mid to late summer

der Preis für einen Meter und dann noch in Alu wäre ja wirklich sehr gut.
Meist sind ja Aluprofile vergleichsweise sehr teuer.
Allerdings schliesse ich mich der Meinung von Lloyd an.
Das sehr stark asymetrische GOE-222 scheint mir nach meinem derzeitigen
Kenntnisstand für VAWTs nicht so sehr geeignet zu sein.
Im amerikanischen VAWT Forum wurden und werden diverse Simulationen gefahren
bei denen sich heraus stellt das symetrische Blätter oft besser abschneiden.

i think the one you were looking at Bernd would be better than geo222 i think it is the summerwind; it is a naca0018 profilebut you can make it start faster by sharpening the le in a set of rolls and pinching it in at 20% back of le about 3% on both sides. the ribs inside will hold it out while you squeeze it in
