If you feel eddy currents, how did you noticed that ? Did you feel something like cogging
or something like a little stiff axis ?
I think there is something wrong with connecting the coils together to one phase.
Maybe one coil has a short current.
Normaly you shouldn't notice eddy currents or just a little bit if all is connected correctly .
First you should measure the voltage you get from one phase between the two connectors from one stator.
Like Andreas said you have to switch the beginning and end connectors of every second coil when
you connect them together to one stator. Example:
The end of the first coil you have to connect to the end of the second coil, the beginning of the second coil
you have to connect to the beginning of the third coil, the end of the third coil must be connected to the end
of the fourth coil...... and so on. You ever connect end to end and beginning to the next beginning.
This is the correct connecting if the number of coils and magnets is equal and if each coil is identically wiring.
If you haven't connect this way, you will get almost no voltage.
